Air Canada is Canada's largest airline and the largest provider of scheduled passenger services in the Canadian market, the Canada-U.S. transborder market and in the international market to and from Canada. Fleet and innovation

Air Canada has undertaken a major fleet renewal with Boeing 787 Dreamliners. The airline also offers Premium Economy on its 787s and select 777-300ERs, providing enhanced comfort for business travellers. Air Canada holds a Four-Star Skytrax ranking and operates 22 Maple Leaf Lounges worldwide.

History

Founded in 1937 as Trans-Canada Air Lines and privatized in 1989, Air Canada is headquartered in Montreal and employs approximately 27,000 people. Air Canada Rouge, the airline's leisure carrier, serves destinations in Europe, Mexico, the US, Caribbean, Japan, and South America.
