ITA Airways
ITA Airways is Italy's flagship airline, owned 59% by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and 41% by Deutsche Lufthansa AG. It operates passenger and cargo transport services with main hubs in Rome Fiumicino and Milan Linate. The fleet is modern with over 60% next-generation aircraft reducing CO2 emissions by up to 25%.
Hub and accessibility
ITA Airways operates from its main hub at Rome Fiumicino (FCO) and secondary hub at Milan Linate (LIN). Fiumicino Airport has a direct rail link to Rome city centre, while Milan Linate is connected via the M4 metro line, making both hubs easily accessible for business travellers.
A modern fleet
The fleet has grown from 52 older-generation aircraft to 101 aircraft, with over 60% being next-generation models. This results in approximately 25% reduction in CO2 emissions and fuel consumption, underlining ITA Airways' commitment to sustainable aviation.
Network and connections
ITA Airways covers Italy and numerous international destinations. Through codeshare agreements, connectivity extends to over 130 additional destinations worldwide. The airline is planning entry into Star Alliance, further expanding its global reach.
